Looks like you may be having a corrupt driver. Check Chipset, Display and modem drivers, Try reinstalling those drivers. Disable modem and then hibernate and check.

Edit : These kind of problems occour when the system cannot restore a hardware to its pervious state before hibernation.

could be low disk space on the C: drive, how much v ram do u have set up.

Yes this could also be a valid reason. Try disabling Hibernation , restart , and then enable it back.

That's one weird thing actually. The one's with the most RAM have to wait the longest for the system to boot. And now that Vista uses up all the RAM with its SuperFetch thing, it is really long on a 2GB system...

Possible Causes:

Low RAM
Low DSK Space on C
C may need defrag
Corrupt Drivers
May be some LAN connection. (many times happens on my dad's lappy).

One method to free-up space on C: is to shift the Temporary (Windows) directories to another location. Also you can change the IE temp folder to free-up some space. ;)

delete files from c: or copy/paste them to other drives to save space if then too u r facing the problem try installin Windows on some other drive ..

P.S-: Also Check ur ram Sticks as Ram plays a Major Role for Hibernation
