DX11 games come with their own physics(DX 11 rendering) so dun see much future of PhysX

Not really. It does not have its own Physics capabilites, as of now. An engine like Havok, Aegia has to be used to harness the Physics APIs.

and U get not only ATi's Havok(widely used tech) with HD5850 but also the upcoming BULLET opensource physics which ATi is developing...

No it does not. Can you show me any article which clearly states that the Dx11 API has its own dedicated hardware Physics Engine. What it does have is DirectCompute. This gives the GPU functionality to do a lot of parallel processing, which can assist in Physics calculations -- relative to other threads being processed, and show real time Physics. But it is not a dedicated Physics Engine (inbuilt) like Aegia and/or Havok. End of the day a Dx11 ATI card will not assist in hardware Physis, since there is none written for it. DirectCompute will simulate Physics but not exactly give hardware physics.

And the widely used 'Havok' still works off the CPU. So it is not rendering on GPU hardware.

Thread 1:
Is a speculation thread. People are wondering/and giving their own views. Will Physics run on DirectX 11, how ComputeShader will address physics. See post #9, nothing is clear to the posters, they themselves are speculating.

Thread 2:
I have contributed quite a bit to the 2nd thread. Which primarily is talking about Dx11 being multi platform. And will Aegia PhysX ever run on ATI boards. Arguing about why ATI does not offer Physics, and how well DirectX 11 will ramp up.

We all are under the misconception that Dx11 has its "own Physics Engine". It does not. It offers DirectCompute which can help and/or enable in Physics calculation, but solely as an entity it is not a Physics Engine in-built. It offers massive parallel processing, which is gold for Physics calculations.
