You can't say.. It's apple.. :p

I don't have it.. I just saw that review.. BTW does it matter??
even if you gain 70C ain't it almost 20C cooler than average lappy??

Point is that a Quad-Core IVB will heat for sure specially while gaming, unless throttled or super-cooled( 80's for either core is definitely possible and okay followed by throttling ).
And for reference previous Macbooks had horrible cooling. rMBP is having better thermal-maintenance mechanism but still it's a laptop profile. It has it's limits.

Die-shrink caused heat-up issue in IVB. Sandy Bridges used to run slightly cooler.

sandy bridges also heated up a lot. My quad core used to reach 95 C with turbo boost on while playing crysis 2. And tj max is just ahead at 100 C.
I feel ivy are not so hot .. my dual core reaches 80 C while playing skyrim and turbo on and tj max is way ahead at 105 C

Some Desktop IVBs heated up a lot when voltage was increased , compared to SB because intel used TIM b/w sink and die.
Although , mobile IVB weren't affected by this but still since they are having more no. of transistors they'll run a li'l bit hotter
