Please suggest a Mobo for this Gaming rig

There is always a choice
Hi, I'm building a gaming rig with the fol H/w : Processor: i5-3350P | RAM: 2x4Gb@1600Mhz (GSkill or Corsair Value) | GPU: ASUS Radeon HD 7770 | PSU : Corsair VX450 | Cabinet : CM Elite 311

Now, I'm planning to OC the processor to the extent it allows (by tweaking the turbo multi & the BCLK) and maybe the RAM too a little bit.

But, I'm not very sure of the mobo or chipset to go with. I'm thinking of going with the Gigabyte GA-B75-D3H which sells for around 3500 bucks.

But I'm not sure if the B75 will allow me to overclock(though I checked its BIOS, it has the options)

Could you guys advise a few mobos that will let me do the OC. My max budget would be around 5 grands.

regards,

@OP; you neek a k series or X series Intel chip to overclock. The chip you've mentioned cannot be overclocked. If you have not yet purchased the processor or the entire system (whatsoever be the case), the post a thread here: PC Components / Configurations

a little overclocking is still possible ;-) but B75 is not going to help here so better get something with Z77 like Asus P8Z77-M @ 9.5-10k or the pro version for 500-800 bucks more.

Ya, sort off. If any application can stress all the cores by a good margin then all of them will be running at the increased Turbo Core Frequency.

because most people still want to by Intel ( even Intel original mobos ) and AMD is marketing is not aggressive enough and sometime they are lazy ( for eg. FX 6300 ) ;-) and dp you really want to rely on the recommendation os seller guys while buying any thing .. better you don't for any products at all.

No, I never ever rely and nor recommend to do so. It's just that not seeing and retailer giving amd chips even to someone who demands a high performance is a bit odd, very odd.
