My laptop screen keeps getting distorted while I am using it. After five minutes of me trying to install digit os this happened.
I have tried every OS I could find but this always happens.
I thought it was a overheating problem and reapplied thermal paste also but it did not change.
I have also changed the harddrive but this has also not helped me.
Please help me fix the problem
It is a HP Laptop
Config
Intel pentium dual core
No os
Segate hard drive 250 gb
Model G 7015EA

@mithun_mrg READ THE POST ABOVE YOU CAREFULLY, AND STOP GIVING WRONG INFORMATION

@OP does this happen after a set/fixed period of time?
did you try a live cd?
if possible, swap/replace the ram.

in the worst case, your graphics unit is prolly dead, and you will have to replace the motherboard.

faulty ram wont give a problem like that.

its prolly the graphics driver/motherboard/lcd

@OP try this : if you have a vga output socket on your lappy (mine does, on the left side) try and connect a display. if the display works fine in that one, we will know that the problem is of lcd panel

@OP so, it happens after EXACTLY 5 minutes? then it might be an overheating problem, you might have made a mistake while opening and doing stuff in your laptop.

also, as the external display is also affected, the mobo might be gone. how long have you had this problem??

The laptop is about three years old.
The problem has been occuring for the last 6 months.
At first it happned at one hour intervals but now only five minutes.

It's almost certainly a problem with the graphics subsystem hardware. Could be the GPU or video RAM. If it's shared memory, then it's worth reseating the system RAM or substituting it with another RAM stick.
