Pixel Image Editor is another alternative to photoshop,
GIMP does a lot of work , but still most pro users wanted CMYK support, which GIMP doesn't have.
Pixel Image Editor looks like a viable replacement for photoshop,
Its got a lot of features and is available for a lot of platforms.
But, its paid , although only at a fraction of the photoshop and the likes.
A demo is available on the site , and lets you use for any amount of time,
but with the limitation that all images made with it , will carry a water mark.
I Downloaded the demo yesterday and it was quite fast,
Though still a beta, its got a lot of features and is quite stable.
Website.
Download the beta.
