PCIe1x to PCIe 16x adapter

hi guys i m thinking of putting a 9800GT into my system (for folding@home) i m looking at something like this and stick a 9800gt as my mobo doesn't have another PCIe. i have heard that we can use Nvidia and ATi card both together in a system with both drivers installed how is it possible ???? how to setup the the config ???
is 1x speed enough for folding ????

wondering why u bought hd 5670 when u had 9800gt. both have same performance. & nvidia cards are slightly faster for folding with the latest client.

but running a power hungry card like 9800gt on vip 400w? u are nuts.

my suggestion for u would be to start Bitcoining to generate money for urself. generate bitcoins and then withdraw them. google about it im not telling u more.

radeons are much much faster than nvidia in this.

in pcie 2.0 1x...9800gt would perform 70-80% of its true potential.

i did not have a9800 GT with me one of my friend upgraded his system so i just took it from him in second hand (worth 500 buck i guess ) i m going to change the PSU anyway to a seasonic 430w or a FSP Saga II 500w or Corsair CX430 V2. will see about bitcoining thanx for the info bor hope it make enough pocketmoney for myself
