I want a PC for office work. So no graphics card is needed. I want the PC to be power efficient, last long on UPS.
Applications i use on the PC
* Adobe Photoshop
* Firefox/Chrome
* PC Will be used for web designing/No Gaming
* Budget < 40k
I found following configuration on another site.
Not sure if the mother board have build in graphics. I don't want a graphics card on this PC.
Keyboard, Mouse and Monitor i will use existing.
Can you guys give some suggestions ?
Sorry for not reading the sticky. Answering them below.
1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Only work. For web designer. Adobe Photoshop is the heavy application i want to run. Others are simple apps like sublime text, git, ftp client. No games.
2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: Below 40k
3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: NO
4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 7
5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 500 GB MAX, current using 250 GB HDD on the PC.
6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: No, will use existing monitor.
7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: Keyboard, Mouse, Monitor
8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: ASAP
9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: my pc support guy will do it. not a problem.
10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: I can buy online. Current PC is from lynx-india.
11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: I don't need a graphics card. Low power (electricity usage) will be nice. I had some bad experience with AMD, it is long back when they release the 64 bit CPU first. That pc had many complaints, may be due to poor build by the seller (i don't select components, just told cpu to use), so prefer intel.
