1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.' Vague answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work.)
Ans: He has some online hacking class , was going for a laptop , But I told him that i'd find a pc build spec including monitor

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then please mention.
Ans: 30k

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: No

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 10/11 may dualboot with linux

5. How much hard drive / solid-state drive space is needed?
Ans: My initial spec is opting towards an hdd 1tb for 2k offline?

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention the screen size and resolution you prefer. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, then do mention the screen size and resolution of the monitor you have.
Ans: Yes , i like AOC e970Swnl , any option under 5k would be welcome

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy? i.e. which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: Prolly include a kb+mouse bundle within the budget

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: Probably within this month ,Has only asked a spec

9. Have you ever built a desktop before? Or, will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: I would probably build this

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Kerala , Offline and online

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: This is what my initial thoughts are
processor -i3 - 12100 - 11.8k
ram -8GB ddr4 3200mhz- 3K
mobo - asus prime h610m e d4 -7.5k
Hdd - no idea - 2k max imo (i'll advise an upgrade later, for the function now i think hdd wont be a bad idea )
case - Zebronics tempo Zeb 190B -1150 ( easily upgradable if he wants, just like storage , I'm lookin at zebronics )
smps -Thermaltake litepower -2.2k (was considering a case+psu combo , but now reconsidering for psu , should i go for the cheaper ant esports one?)
also a monitor 4k-4.5k
----------------------------------
Total - 32150 online , i believe i can get this under 30k using both online and offline purchase
any other recommendations ?

HDD - can't do. Windows needs SSD. So 500GB SSD will cost 4.5k, WD SN570.

Monitor - get at least a 1080p 22" one, will cost 10k.

UPS - 3.5k for a 600VA one. So finally will push the cost to over 40k.

Else, get this R3 5300U laptop: *www.amazon.in/dp/B09WDR8653/
Budget PC for light usage doesn't make much sense these days. PC parts are expensive.

You can save a little by going for a generic cabinet.
While I have put a Monitor here, my recommendation would be to look for a used IPS or VA panel monitor, 20-22" size.

And as suggested by @omega44-xt , I would recommend getting a laptop. This processor is less powerful than Ryzen 5300U.

I'll ask him to increase his budget to 35 or more so that he can get a monitor and case.
Is this fine or am i missing something?

The 12100 is definitely better than the 10105, and most people recommend to buy a better processor because the rest of the stuff you can incrementally upgrade later on.

However, you would observe that majority of budget buyers stick to whatever they buy intially thorughout the PCs lifetime. If someone is restricting their budget at 30k, i feel the 10105 would be more than sufficient for the usage. Rather spend the saved money on a better monitor (larger, IPS display), that difference would be more appreciated by the normal user.
