PC rig -- Assembling after long time

I saw lot of online stores and was shocked to see the prices which are sky high for Proccessor and motherboard. I have to build this as soon as possible, Probably in 2 weeks for my cousin:

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.' Vague answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work.)
Ans: Home use and video streaming

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then please mention.
Ans: Max 35k

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: A BIG NO

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Win 10

5. How much hard drive / solid-state drive space is needed?
Ans: Min with SSD & 1Tb of a hard drive

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention the screen size and resolution you prefer. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, then do mention the screen size and resolution of the monitor you have.
Ans: Yes, probably a 22 inch

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy? i.e. which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: NA

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: In 2 week

9. Have you ever built a desktop before? Or, will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Myself.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Online or may be at Lamington Road Mumbai.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: A have collected information online and below are 2 configs , I would like you guys point out if I am missing anything:

Intel Rig:
Intel i3 10100F 3.6 Ghz Proc 7400
Asus Prime H419M Mobo 5600
8 Gb x 2 = 16 Gb RAM 5200
GeForce GT 730 2GB GDDR5 4000

AMD Rig:
AMD Ryzen 5 2400G 3.6 Ghz Proc 8950
ASRock A320M-HDV 3700
8 Gb x 2 = 16 Gb 5200

By video streaming, you mean Netflix, Hotstar, right?
or PC game streaming? - If it is, budget is not good enough.

If it's a generic home use, even Pentium would do. Fitting everything under 35k would be a little tough task. With i3, it's highly impossible unless you compromise on many parts. Don't think GT730 would be any better than built-in iGPU of i3.
I don't know where that 2400G is available and that too at the price point :wow: If you're getting it, go for it.

My cousin got this build recently and that cost him about 45k including monitor, KB/Mouse. See if you can skimp on any of the parts and bring the bottom number to 35k, though I wouldn't suggest that except may be with cabinet.
Why do you need 16 gigs of ram for home use?
Get that 1TB HDD later when you got some money, just get SSD for now.

CPU - Intel i3 10100 - 9.7k (F one lacks iGPU, so won't run without dGPU)

Mobo - Gigabyte B560M DS3H - 9.5k

RAM - 1x8GB DDR4 3200MHz - 3k

GPU - None

SSD - Kingston A400 240GB 2.5″ - 2.5k

HDD - WD 1TB 7200RPM - 3.3k

PSU - Corsair CV550 80+ Bronze - 3.5k (cheap, should suffice for low end GPUs)

Cabinet - Corsair SPEC 01 - 3k

Monitor - 22" 1080p IPS monitor - 10k

Total - 44.5k

Check primeabgb, mdcomputers, theitdepot, vedant computers, onlyssd (online stores) for PC parts at a good price. This config has potential for upgrades.

Else to save money get a H510 mobo for 6k or so, like MSI H510M-A-Pro, will save 4k.

Thanks a lot.. Can you suggest any AMD Ryzen with vega graphics if it is better than this config ?

You won't be gaming, so no need. Else get R5 2400G, if you are getting it for the price mentioned somewhere. There are no Ryzen CPUs at this price range IMO.

New budget?

Just add 2nd RAM stick & a GT 1030 GDDR5 GPU for 8k, basically like 11k extra. Not a great exp but will run some games, can also save money by opting for i3 10105F as CPU.

Bad time for budget gaming considering a GTX 1050Ti which was like 10k in 2017 or so, costs 20k now.

With a budget build

I3 10105f
Msi h510a pro
Gskill 8 gb ripjwas v 3200 mhz
1 tb hdd
256 gb adata s5 nvme
Gt730 asus 2 gb gddr5
Frontech cabinet SMPS
All just at 27999/-

Manindra Infotech FB Page

Its a reliable store, i can vouch (No personal interest)

Replace the Frontech Cabinet + SMPS with something decent and you are good to go.

One more suggestion is to get a 2nd hand 1050ti for 10k (Or new one, i think they were going for 14k) for a significant performance boost. The 730/1030 GPUs are nothing but DVI/HDMI adapters just to provide video, they hardly run any game.

On a second thought, skip the 10105F processor and GPU, get one with iGPU like i3 10100. .Upgrade GPU Later.
