PC not starting- Help Plz...

Hello Friendz,

My sys is:

C2D E8400, ASUS P5N-D(750i SLI), G. Skill 2*2 GB DDR2 800 CL4, WD 320 GB, EVGA 8800 GT SC, CM 600w Extreme power, Zebby PEACE.

Today after one week i hv started my pc bt it's not starting. I mean, green light on mobo is on, but when i press power button on chasis, nothing happens. I think smps is ok bcoz i hv checkd with other smps. When i saw system to one computer guy, he removed 20+4 pin cable frm mobo and put two ends of one u-pin into different pin on that cable and all the chasis fan started but processor fan not started. Then he told me that my mobo has gone.
Wat u guys think is the problem? How can i chk which component is faulty? Dont tell that chk with friend bcoz friend is havin amd system.

Plz help.....

hmm. why don't you check take the mobo to ASUS RMA (support) center?? Looks like a problem with mobo only.

Also check if the chassis front side panel's connectors are properly connected to motherboard, esp. power and reset connectors.
