My PC was running smoothly all these days. But it has become sluggish suddenly. I checked TASK MANAGER and found that a process called WINLOGON.exe was using a lot of CPU (varied from 3 to 38% continuously). I can't remove this process too. What can be done about this?

Winlogon.exe is a microsoft executable It might be infected by a virus.Install a virus scanner and update it(i suggest avast). And do a through scan even a boot
scan before update.

Problem solved. Hadn't performed a system scan for quite some time. Had some virus, adware & malware. Everything is smooth and working fine now.
