if you get a HD6670 @ 5k, this will work in asymmetric crossfire with onboard GPU which will boost performance in DX11 games especially.

A6 is sufficient.
and zeb bijli will do too.

And if I go with this AMD config, will I still be able to add graphics card later
If a motherboard has a PCI-express slot, you can add a graphic card. (which the motherboard has)

There's no denying that the A8 is MUCH better at gaming and 3D stuff, but as that's not priority, my mind is still wondering how much will it affect regular work? Sure, as stated, some plugins use GPU, but is that a tiny minority aspect of the larger issue?
Listen carefully. 25% lead sounds like "omfg it's so fast." But let's be practical, being faster by ~7 seconds while carrying out a very intensive filter doesn't make any sort of difference. And there are benchmarks where A6-3650 would win too.

Point is, you buy something which is balanced. A6-3650 has the balance if one fine day someone decides to give a try to a game.

i3-2100 is great, but for the price I don't find it balanced. People in every forum talk about fancy future proofing. "after two years if u need moar performance, u can just change the processor to blah blab" - now time to get a real world perspective. You posted here that the PC you are replacing was from 2004. Did you honestly replace its processor around 2006 or so? No. Future proofing is a myth. "XYZ company will release a new processor for this socket..!" - the fact is, by the time (say 2014) you feel like you should replace your processor, the platform (socket) would become outdated and have pricey components. Have a look at Core 2 Quad prices. New Core 2 Quad 9550 is still Rs. 14,000. Weird, right? I must tell you, for end and basic users, it doesn't make much of a difference whichever way they go.

Reasons:
1) They don't really feel performances differences here and there.
2) They don't "upgrade" on a frequent basis. No one upgrades as frequently as people in forums tend to make out.

Now, you can go for anything i3-2100 and A6-3650. Both are wonderful choices. We are here to recommend, nothing else. You can't go wrong with either of them. :)

^ Yep. You're right. You sort of echoed what is stated in the last paragraph of this article I was reading: AMD A6-3650 Llano APU Conclusion

I'll just go with the A6 for the great balance. A few months after purchase, I'll probably feel silly about all this effort into deciding, since day to day tasks will be performed smoothly I guess.

Now the problem is finding out about its availability in Delhi.
And I'll go with the cheaper Bijli cabinet if it's not a problem.

^ head over to SMC as far as availability is concerned.

But Nehru Place sucks for Power Supplies. Even SMC. SMC might convince you to buy a Cooler Master PSU, but don't listen. Buy the PSU which was recommended to you from an online store.

One more thing, if you have decided to go towards the AMD Fusion way, 1600 Mhz RAM is must.
