Geek in making
I have a few desktops purchased for my factory in 2009.
It is a Lenovo desktop with e2160 processor. All the components are company fitted and they are working great. A few years ago we upgraded 3 of our desktops with Nvidia 210 card.
Now the problem is that I want to see if I can upgrade it at all. I will be adding up more HDD for storage on 2 of the desktops as requested by the operators. Now I want to know what is the scope of doing so. And also if I order some new desktops what would be the best config at the lowest price possible.
1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans:MS Office along with web browsing and some hd content watching.
2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans:About 20k per PC
3. Planning to overclock?
Ans:Yes, maybe
4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans:Windows 8 now and 10 in future
5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans:For this I have a 4k budget seperately
6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans:no
7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans:I can use mouse, KB, graphic card, ups and monitor
8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans:In the nest 30 days
9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans:depends for two desktops I can manage but not for 12 desktops.
10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans:where ever I can find cheap, online or locally
11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans:I have a seperate budget of 4k for HDD so in that 20k preferably list the components.
