I have an old PC (read my signature please) and I used to run some games like Serious Sam (Both FE & SE) on it flawlessly.

In those days I was using Windows ME. Now I use 2K. I wanna ask whether the performance will be same or not.

Now this one is the open source question::
I tried googling it but cudnt find any good answer so I am posting my query here.

I have a faint idea that I read that all the openGL games can run in Linux (Without WINE or Cedega). So if I use any DE other than resource hogging KDE or Gnome, will I be able to run Serious Sam FE and SE on ubuntu (my specs in my signature). I use XFCE right now and about 40% of RAM is free at any time (Any other light DE you guys could suggest). I also have 1GB swap.:D:D

.exe files most win games are afaik?these executables are for windows os.ur available option is limited to run games with Wine or Cedega.

IGB swap is of no use.get it resized to 300-400MB save the remaining space for ur downloads, torrents!:D
