Yes, most current hit-n-run spammers are registering using protonmail and sometimes outlook (like this spammer here: *geek.digit.in/community/members/georgeakers0.329861/) .

Notification system for tagging is not working for quite some time now,please take a look at that.

Out of ideas on how to fix the alerts. Increased "Maximum mention alerts per message" from 0 to 10 for most user groups, still not working. Looks like the feature was not designed to work with large user groups.
