From : NVIDIA Announces New GeForce GTX 560M and GT 520MX Mobile GPUs - HotHardware

NVIDIA just took the wraps off of a couple of new mobile GPUs at Computex and announced a slew of notebooks designs that will feature the new chips. The new GeForce GTX 560M and GT 520MX will be arriving very soon, in notebooks from Asus, Alienware, Clevo, Toshiba, MSI, and Samsung, among others.

The GeForce GT 520MX is an entry level DirectX 11 GPU designed for thin and light and other highly mobile platforms. It is a slight update to the GT 520M with higher clocks. The GPU sports 48 CUDA cores with a 900MHz graphics clock, 1800MHz shader clock, and 900MHz memory clock. The memory is linked to the GPU via a 64-bit memory bus, for a peak of 14.4GB/s of bandwidth.

The GeForce GTX 560M is decidedly more powerful. The GeForce GTX 560M is outfitted with 192 CUDA cores and clocks in at 775MHz, with 1559MHz shaders, and 1250MHz of GDDR5 memory. The memory rides on a (up to) 192-bit bus, with peak bandwidth of up to 60GB/s.

With the new GTX 560M, NVIDIA will also be offering Optimus support in a high-end gaming GPU for the first time, which will result in increased battery life when not gaming on a higher-end notebooks. And both the new GT 520MX and GTX 560M support PhysX and CUDA, while the 560M also offers full 3D Vision and SLI support as well.

The full release with more details regarding NVIDIA’s new chips and partner products using them is posted below. We will also be posting a full review of and MSI GT683 featuring the GeForce GTX 560M in the coming days, so stay tuned...

Its performance will be slightly better than HD 6870M, I think.
