Not able to find open port for utorr in dataone

Hey everybody i've followd all possible guides for utorrent port mapping and hav forwarded ports...the prob is that i have not to this date found one single open port for my dataone connection...ppl wid dataone pls help...is there a specific way to map an open port???

ps: pls dont gimme links to guides or portforward.com....i need a way to find an open port not to forward it....

put a random port like 28574 in utorrent options.go to ur firewall(comodo,zonealarm etc) and allow open that port.with in-built firewall,u can go to xp control panel and add the port be excluded.this is what i have done in my windows XP.it works too.

Is Port Forwarding ESSENTIAL.. Coz I'm using utorrent and azureus without port forwarding..

port forwarding sure brings ur speed up for a single PC.

What is you speed..
I get 140KB-200KB/s for a fresh torrent with (some 100s to 1000s of seeders) and upload speed is a constant 45KB/s..
