How can I buy a renewal subscription of Norton Internet Security 2005? Is it is possible in anyway without credit card? Is it worth paying for Norton Internet Security? It is impossible to update with out an active subscription. plz dont tell me the free alternatives like cracking or someting. Will appreciate any kind of help.

Thanks for reply. These reatailers deals in retail softwares I think of symentec but not in subscription services. Though that will be more expensive to buy full software and there is no need for me coz I already have the genuine product. The problem with me is I dont have credit/debit card and it is required for online purchase. Iam asking that is thre any other way rather than purchasing it with credit card? Otherwise thanks guys for reply, Any other help will be appreciated.

Why do u think NIS2006 is better than 2005 ?

And after all vishalbhatia wanted to renew the subscription service only as he already owns a legal copy of NIS 2005. But now, if NIS 2006 is purchased things are back to square 1, and after one year he will hve to purchase NIS 2007 afresh!!! And this will go on as long as he decides to use NIS!!! My question is why a person with a legal copy of a software has to go through this harrassment?

My honest opinion is dump the much hyped NIS, it isn't worth it. Its a resource hog, slows down the system, the firewall is of average quality, too much baggage comes with it. Even the quality of anti virus feature is much better in Symantec AV than NIS.

Even if the freeware options (ZoneAlarm, Spybot, AdAware, AVG Antivirus) are much better than NIS.

Does it change the scene? U have to buy a new version after 2 years after all.
And pardon me, Zone alarm is the best known firewall available right now, firewall included with NIS doesn't even come close to Zonealarm. If u cared to read the reviews and articles, u would have known it already. And it comes without a price tag. If u can buy Zonealarm Security suite, u get the best available firewall, a good spyware remover and a great antivirus solution. Its small, fast and takes much less resource, unlike NIS which is a resource hog.

Spybot is one of the best known spyware removers, and its FREE!!!

And regarding antvirus solution, although no AV can give 100% protection, the effectiveness of NAV has been debated for some time now, and many do not consider NAV to be as effective as it is claimed to be.
Let me say this again, NIS is popular only because it has got a 'Norton' brand in it and bought by those who is attracted by the label the product carries rather than the product itself.
