Check & scan for virus or spyware on your system.
download Spybot then update it then scan ur system..............its freeware.

IDM wont do this.

p.s:i installed (free download manager) with no such problem,,,but am used to use idm in xp & i love its work

Do you have any firewall installed or are you using Vista inbuilt firewall?
After installing IDM checks integration with the browser by downloading some data from their site & only then it starts working, if firewall block it at this stage it wont work & might interfere with ur internet connection.

Write a mail to IDM helpdesk support@internetdownloadmanager.com
read FAQ at *www.internetdownloadmanager.com/support/index.html

A fresh copy of VISTA doesn't mean it can get infected, do you have any antivirus installed? Regardless of this problem using a Spybot is highly recommended, download & install it.

the problem start when i install idm,,,no problem,,,but when i chose to make idm integrated with browsers ,,,it ask me to reboot (normal order),,but when windows start,,only paltalk works
i will download spybot i will install & run it,,,,but 100% sure it is not a matter of viruses or spywares
