New touchscreen phone needed for about 20K

Hey guys, A friend of mine needs help in this regard. He is looking for a new touchscreen phone for good audio/video support...also needs good App support & good build quality. He currently owns an n73 & wants to move on to a touchscreen now. So he is asking is whether he should wait for a month or two for the windows 8 phone of nokia or should he go for a samsung one. Are there any good samsung models for 20k. Btw he also wants a decent camera with flash(Xenon a bonus otherwise dual led would do)

Also checkout the Galaxy S Advance. It got a recent price drop and is now available for around Rs 19K. IMO it is a steal at that price with its Dual Core Processor and gorgeous Super Amoled Screen. Only drawback is no News on ICS Update.

thanks for your suggestions...but how reliable are htc & motorola brands...i don't see them anywhere...

also aren't htc known for their poor battery life??

one more thing he wanted me to add is he also expandable memory & gps...

Dude Galaxy S Advance was announced earlier this year. It has up to date hardware and will be able to run each and every app in the Play Store. I think you are mistaking it for the Galaxy S i9000.

It has 16GB, good enough for most apps etc.

I would suggest against P, Bad battery life and a weak chipset. Instead go for Atrix2/Sensation. Both have better battery lives and chipsets. All the more both have slightly bigger screens. Also, expandable storage !

Dude, Novathor U8500 has a single core mali 400 not a multi core one like S2/note/S3. Qualcomm S3 and OMAP 4430 are MUCH MUCH faster than novathor and annihilate it in GPU performance easily.
Sony Xperia P review | The Verge See the performance section of this review, Galaxy nexus has the same chipset as atrix 2 with a slightly OC'd GPU and also galaxy nexus runs 720p whereas atrix 2 is qhd, then also Omap's gpu(powervs sgx540) beats mali 400 easily.

Even One V's GPU ( Adreno 205) beats a single core mali400, where as sensation has adreno 220 which is more than twice as fast as adreno 205 , So there is NO comparison whatsoever.
And battery of Xperia P is of 1305 mah, Sensation as 1520 and Atrix has 1785

That's my plan, i9100g is just cr@p, flipkart was selling the i9100 for 27k I think.

@Ronnie11, ask your friend to buy S Advance if he is paranoid about the lack of decent motorola service. Both have excellent screen (Super AMOLED but pentile vs higher resolution RGB) and decent battery life.

NO Galaxy S advance suggestions please. You guys do realize its a 19k phone with ZERO developer support and NO official ICS from Samsung ? It will be stuck on GB for life !!
Nobody even cares for it on XDA, so forget about custom ROMs completely.

Truth.
In this budget, its either Atrix 2 or Sensation or go to 25 and guy S2 or xperia S

yeah the reason y i was sceptical about s advance was the lack of developer support..but then again this Motorola one many of you recommended like the atrix 2 for example..how reliable is motorola?I heard the company was in bad state...i don't see motorola handsets nowadays...same with htc..how is it as a brand??Do they have that poor battery life issue still???

Motorola service is non existent in most parts of India except a few metros (non existent in some metros as well !!)
At least that's what I have personally heard from people. If someone else has better experience then maybe its not that bad. So wait for other opinions on Moto A.S.S.
