Right off the assembly line
I'm building a new rig and want your opinions

AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE @ 6.5K
Biostar TA890GXE @ 6K
Corsair 4GB 1600MHz @ 2.5K
FSP Saga II 500 Watt @ 2K
Cooler Master Hyper TX3 @ 1K or Cooler Master 212+ @ 1.8K
Cooler Master Elite 310 @ 1.8K

I'm gonna use it mainly for gaming, movies and other day to day stuff.

I have a few questions:
1: Is this rig future proof for atleast 3 years.
2: Is it true that ATI GPUs work better with AMD processors (i recently bought a Sapphire HD5670 512Mb card).
3: Are there any new processors coming out from AMD.

Any suggestions/changes would be welcome for the same or lower price range.

A: Games, HD Movies, Encoding, CAD/CAM

2. Are you open to alternate ideas/products giving similar better performance but offering more VFM/ sellers? If not- why?
A: Yes

3. What is your MAX budget?
A: 20K excluding GPU and Monitor or 30K included

4. Planning to overclock?
A: Yes

5. Which OS are you planning to use?
A: Win 7 64-bit

6. How much hard drive space is needed?
A: 500GB would be good, 1TB better

7. What resolution will the screen run at & whats the size of the screen you want? If you already want have one and want to use it, mention its resolution and size.
A: Full HD 1920x1080

8. How would you rate your hardware knowledge from the count of 1-10? (1 being the lowest, 5 being you are somewhat in sync with the current performers and 10 being the highest)
A: 6

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
A: No and i will assemble it myself

10. When are you planning to buy the system?
A: 2-3 months

11. Are you one of the types looking out for "future proof" configurations?
A: Yes

12. Are there going to be any components that you don't want to include in this new rig? If yes, do mention.
A: GPU & monitor

13. Which city do you live in and are you open to buying from shops from other city/states?
A: Chandigarh and no

14. Mention any other points if deemed necessary
A: Prefer an AMD based system

just a question i have been told FSP saga II have short cables , so sagaII + NZXT gamma (bottom psu) is not possible , so is it possible ?

CX400 will be more than enough...
But for future proofing VX450...

If OP wants to to know abou the prices, its good. Becoz if he doesnot have any idea of components prices, then he can gain and later can get a better deal.
