New laptop !

im a n00b @ laptops ...

i have a athlon-xp desktop rt nw running frm last 3 years ...

just thought of buying a lappy since im in college nw ...

do me a favour ... could u suggest me a laptop out of the following two configurations ??

P.s: i don't want to buy dell .. im scared that i would have to send my laptop again 4 repairs ( 4 weeks ) if some serious prblm arises !!
