both your choices are sufficiently future proofed and evenly matched. I too was evaluating these two along with the HP M6 and ultimately went for the 15R Turbo coz of the 1080p screen and backlit keyboard.
From a pure gaming experience, and also battery life i think the Sammy is a better buy

What would be the correct time for buying laptop.....before diwali or 1st week of December?? I think i would go for Samsung as HP DV6 7014nr is not available in India ....and I'm not able to find a way to get it here!!

I'm planning to buy Samsung NP550P5C-S03IN. Is it a good choice as S02IN is discontinued(acc. to Flipkart & out of stock in Samsung estore) ?

Between the Samsung and the Dell.

Pros of Dell 15R Turbo
- Good color and contrast 1080p Screen
- Cool and quiet temps
- Dell warranty better i would say

Cons
- Not so stylish looks


Pros of NP550P5C
- 650M better for gaming
- Sleeker looks
- Lighter

Cons
- 1600X900 resolution but still mediocre screen in color and contrast
- Throttling issues while gaming reported by few.

I'm planning to buy S02IN within 2-4 days as i would like to have Blu-ray reader & Win 7 OS disc.

Should I go ahead buying it or wait till Jan 2013 for a new laptop @ 60k with Blu-ray ??
