Okay:
P4 3GHz with HT Disabled( By me manually )
1GB DDR 400MHz RAM
Intel 915GAG Original Mobo( with PCIe Slot )
400W Intex PSU
Samsung 15"( Resolution - 1024x728 )

GFX Card - XFX 6200TC 64MB(256MB TC)

Now, I thought that if I wait for DX11 hardware, the wait is endless, and I don't want soo many months of possible gaming wasted. Thus I thought of buying a low-end card.

My eyes are set on:
- HD4550
- Low Profile
- Actively Cooled
- 512MB GDDR3

Now at newegg.com, such a card from ASUS with their custom cooling is selling for 34.99$ only. I'm considering asking KMD(Kathmandude) from techenclave.com to get it for me, and possible the price will be less than 2.5k, that's a saving of 1k if I buy it in India.

I searched for some reviews and was really impressed that it can play modern games with settings of low to medium and AA 0 to 2 and AF 0 to 16.

CHECK this review, which reveals the true power of today's entry-gfx cards, which manage to play anygame, although at low settings, but still the games are stunningly beautiful than any game of 2006 or older.

is very less power consuming even less than 25W in full load that is what the review says in the link comp@ddict has given, and in 2.5K u can say it is good but 9500GT and HD4550 are not comparable 9500GT has duoble the performance of HD4550

and even better is HD4670 and 9600 GSO than these cards.

But if u start checking on power consumption of these then u will certainly say HD4550 is good enough, and I think comp@ddict is maybe considering that.

consider this link than what comp@ddict has given for proper consideration *www.pcper.com/article.php?aid=628&type=expert&pid=1 though IMO this review keeps HD4550 equivalent to 9500GT, but its not clear if 9500GT is DDR2 or DDR3, because it comes in both DDR2 and DDR3 version.

The HD4550 is a Low-Profile Card, the ASUS one, and I need that.

And the max power consumption does not exceed 20W, that's 26W lesser than 9500GT.

true, I was checking what they have set in xtreme outervision for wattage, I see they have set around 23W and for HD4670 they have put 47W interesting result.
I too am interested in this card for my system my rig has got a 300W PSU, so cant put heavy gfx card.

Let me know what comes out of your talks for the card, maybe I too can place the order with you :D

I will check in local market also for it n see what price they quote. I have actually put two upgrades for my system one is gfx card and another is a new CPU cooler.
