Network Adap. Freezes Start menu!!!

HELP !!!

My computer starts... perfectly !!!
It shutdowns... fast !!!
All in all... it's runing (loading smoooothly)

BUT in the begining, when you click on Start menu and ''connect to'' (so you can use internet)... it FREEZES the START menu and all

I mean... literally for 3 or 5 mins.

Why? when i had modem, it never happened !!!

but after that intial freezing thing... everything is okay... internet works fine.. and all!!!

PS: by the way... mu Avast Antivirus also takes like... sometime to load... i mean usually it won't, now a days it does!!!

The CULPRIT maybe AVAST AV.
try installing any other AV like AVG Free (just to experiment). & then disable AVAST from "msconfig".

now restart ur PC to let the changes take effect.

NOW check whether there's any Improvement or NOT.

Try reinstalling your antivirus this could be the problem for sure.. i alternatively faced it recently
