.net framework???

Hi guys!

As there are four versions of .net framework (1.1, 2, 3, 3.5), do we need to install all of them or installing 3.5 will serve the purpose for all of them?

Its a runtime framework. Meaning, its a collection of components, which can be used by developers to make software development easier. ^^ ya i think the full installation of 3.5 contains .NET 1.1SP1, .NET 2.0, .NET 3.0 and .NET 3.5

But what does .net framework do?

if u consider ur software as a bullock cart, then .NET framework serves the function of the bulls..... however this is applicable to only those softwares that are dependent on .Net environment.


As far as the question goes, .net framework 3.5 will do... microsoft is really obsessed with backward compatibility....
