Nero 5.5 problem

while i started Nero 5.5 today. it gav me da following problem.

BTW, my CD writer n DVD multiplayer rnt attatched correctly. can this b da cause of problem?

it also has lot more features than Nero 5.5

your cd writer is not attached !

image drive can work on any comp having no cd writer

try to conenct the cd writer and then start nero again

It seems that the Winaspi file is corrupted. Try reinstalling Nero

Reinstall Nero. If it doesn't help, try installing ASPI drivers for ur OS. See this :

Hi guys i'm having problem while attatching da CD-RW.

Man da problem is that my mobo has only two IDE slots n I have 1 HDD, 1 CD-RW n 1 DVD ROM.

Da problem is that i need 2 use CD-RW n DVD ROM also i cant run my computer without my HDD.

So i hav 2 attatch two of da drives in a single cable.
one as Primary Slave n other as secondary slave.

but whenever i attatch 2 of da three drives in one slot via one cable. they just don't work. even on da First page that comes as u switch on da computer from where u can enter BIOS, da name of da primary slave is written incorrectly, also, it seems that it is da name of name of secondary slave is given instead of primary slave incorrectly.

My DVD ROM's name begins like this [TS_Corp.......] in da first page it seems that da name of my DVD rom is given which is completely unreadable. (I use da DVD ROM as secondary slave).

Plz help me. I'm in real need.

I hav inserted da wires correctly n tightly. What shud I do.

My Nero 5.5 gave me the same error ,i upgraded to Nero 6 n my problem was solved.

Reinstalling Nero will solve the problem.......... if Nero 5.5 ever worked on your computer

Else get Nero 6

you should not post the same solution as suggested by others

its uselss and it only makes the forum cluttery

first try to connect only yours one cd drive either dvd or the writer
and then if this works or not
