Need your advice !!


I am facing overheating issue in my current rig so planning to upgrade my system under 20k (Intel processor and motherboard (not asus) . Please suggest my if it is possible.thanks

Use : Video rendering and 3d animation work


My rig :

Amd cpu fx 8350
Asus motherboard m5a97 evo r2.0
corsair ram 8gb ddr-3 1600mhz
seagate hdd 1tb sata
cooler master smps extreme 700w
zotac pci 1gbddr5 gtx 650ti
circle cabinate

Do you think the heating issue is too much, even a good after market cooler and a good cabinet can't fix it?

I have shown my pc to some local technical person they advised me to sell out your amd processor & asus motherboard and replace with Intel.

He said "overheating issue can't be solve in AMD processor"


When I run some software. A CPU temperature goes around 66 C and sometimes it's shutdown.

Can you suggest me which cooler and cabinet will be good for me??

Gigabyte H110M-S2 -4700,
Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB 2133Mhz DDR4 -2500.
Total -22,000.

Have you checked your thermal paste.
Maybe it dried off.
Get a tube.
See if helps the thermal throttling.

You don't need to buy whole PC just get better cabinate,aftermarket cooler and change thermal paste on CPU.

LOL! They don't know anything Don't listen to them they are lairs trying to sell Intel CPUs.

And you are good to go.

One more thing please check if you have enabled thermal protection in BIOS.If yes disable it. 66C is not much for a CPU.

Going with new Intel Skylake is one option and another option is as follows:

CPU Cooler - Cooler Master Hyper 212x -3000,
Cabinet - Corsair SPEC-01 -3500,
Thermal Paste - Noctua NT-H1 -420.

Shutting down at 66C is weird. Some thermal throttling might start at 66C but even that's unlikely.

Use better CPU Cooler for better result. Its weird 66c and it shut down.
