need wi fi router with modem

I need a wifi router with ADSL modem to connect my portable devices to my BSNL internet.
My desktop will be connected through LAN and mobile devices via wi fi.

Budget: 1.5k-2.5k

Please suggest me one. Also is it possible to connect internet through the router without switching on my desktop?
Thanks in advance.

P.S.: I have checked out DLink DSL-2730U. It seems to be all I need. but does this one have option to switch off wi fi when not in use?

there are 2 ways to setup an adsl modem---bridge mode in which you need to dial the connection from a pc,pppoe mode in which username/password is saved in modem settings so modem itself can connect to net when turn on.pppoe mode is must if you want to simultaneously use net on more than 1 device connected to modem.
