Need to upgrade cpu.

I own amd phenom II x2 550 , msi hd 6850 , mobo-gigabyte m68mt-d3 , 4 gb ddr3 1333 MHz RAM.


I want to upgrade my system's cpu and mobo to intel , my budget is 16-18k.


Should I go for amd phenom II x6 1090T or intel i5 2500 k.

You don't need to upgrade your CPU IMO.

continue in a single thread. Dont start multiple threads for a common query.
If you have a budget of 18k the go with i5-2500 + Intel DH67BL at 10k + 5.5k -- 15.5k.
Also add a Tagan StoneRock 500W PSU at 3k or Corsair VX-450 at 3.4k.
