As of now, which one is trending to be future-proof?

Now I need Tablet for my father
Budget 20K. If any will extend

Increase budget, get Mi Pad 6 for 27k (check Independence day sale for offers, might end up under 25k). Its much better than the competition which usually have an inferior SoC. Drop the 5G requirement.

S695 vs S870 is a night & day difference, almost double the CPU performance with even better GPU performance.

I see SIM card slot, SD card slot & 3.5mm jack as advantages of Lenovo, else, Mi Pad 6 is superior in other regards.

There won't be difference. It should work like normal wifi network.
Do not have knowledge of tab in this budget range, can't help you, sorry.

Why does having 5G matters then? If 4G service is good, just use it. And if he'll be home mostly, get a good broadband connection.

No, just that the device running the hotspot will drain battery fast.

Use broadband when at home, even BSNL broadband would be more reliable than 4G/5G. 30Mbps is more than enough for most.
