Hi,
I need some suggestion about a good laptop hardrive encryption software. I think many of us would have heard about Poitsec(www.pointsec.com), it is a CheckPoint(ZoneAlarm owners) company which provides a very good data enryption software. But I cannot use it personally, as I have to purchase it and the costs are lot.
Basically the software starts the moment the laptop boots, and you land on a pointsec login screen, where you have to authenticate yourself to go to your specific OS boot screen/login screen etc.
Even if your laptop is stolen, the data will be encrypted inside the hard-drive and it will be nearly impossible to decipher it.
Please suggest me reliable and stable software for data encryption both in free and buyable category.

@ Choto Cheeta: Thanks for your Windows encryption system suggestion, but is it really reliable. As I working on a Web2.0 project of my own, data and design is very crucial. If it is realliable, then how do I enable it in WinXP. I use WinXp SP2 Prof. edn.
@Piyush: I have not heard about PGP(ofcourse I ham layman here, as I have not heard anything other than Pointsec), but are there any wierd effects you have heard/noticed associated with the sofware. If so then please let me know else I will try it out.

Any other valuable sugegstions from the forum junta?

Efforts appreciated :)
