So was thinking of upgrading my system. However as you must have noticed Im using a AGP card for my display. Now Im not even sure if any of these card are available any more but would you recommend gettign some memory and a new AGP card or a total rehaul which would include moptherboard processor and display card? I think I can afford upto 15 k maybe a wee-bit more if neccessary .

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Every dealer I ask in Kerala hasnt got any clues about display card. The last one said that the best card was a 6200 chipset and Im pretty sure there has to be something better than that.

Thanks in advance.

OK so had a chance to go to a dealer since I went to Cochin. Heres the information I collected.

7600GT available after 2-3 days on order. I believe he said the price was either 6100 or 8100 ;/ not quite sure. After hearing the price I checked out the price for other parts. and found that

AMD AM2 processor 4400 (3500 )
Gigabyte Motherboard for it (3300 )
Memory 1 GB 1400 x 2 (2800) Corsair
Then the Display 8500 was only 6600 I believe the company he was refering to was XFX.

Can I use my old memory module from the above board which is most likely DDR and not DDR2

Any opinions on the 7600 GT ? Im thinking of finding the Zebronics / XFX dealer in Cochin and see if I can find out if old AGP cards actually cost that much ;/ .

7600 is better than 8500 and xfx is better than zebronics.

Wire muncher!
you can't use a ddr module in a ddr2 mobo. again yes, if you want a basic dx10 card get an 8400. if you are a gamer then get the at least 8600 else 7900/50 or at least 7600gt (7950 beats 8600). the 8000 series lower than 8800 score lower in performance than the 7900 series.
