what kind of content is lagging? My C3 lags sometimes, budget LG TVs will also lag at times. It won't be laggy mess for sure, you can try it at stores.
Sometimes after boot, say I click YT icon, everything freezes for a few seconds. This was not the case when TV was new with older webOS. I updated my TV a month or so earlier. Crunchyroll app takes time to load, might be a poorly optimised app though (always was the case).what kind of content is lagging?
I use STB and avoid the LG OS.Buy the cheapest 2023-24 model?

This will suffice, is under 40k with CC discount.
Annoying thing about most TVs IMO is the remote (lack of play/pause button) and the OS (more like weak hardware leading to lags at time).
I couldn't find a way to completely stop OS update prompt. OS update did make my LG C3 lag at times. I'm avoiding recent updates for now. Android stick options are limited, sadly Chromecast 4K is no longer available but its remote is not good as well. Nvidia Shield is expensive, old & have to import![]()

Xiaomi/Redmi, Hisense 55" TVs sell for 30-32k during sales (can consider Toshiba & Acer as well if you want), any day those are better choices than small unknown brands if you don't want to spend 40k on LG/Samsung 55". Nothing else to add honestly.

TN is non existent in TVsLG/SAMSUNG/Xiaomi
No one mentioned intentionally... What panel do they use—TN, VA, or IPS?
How do I find out?
What about Xiaomi?TN is non existent in TVs
Mostly IPS these days, Samsung might be VA. IMO both are fine for TVs at this price. VA has better contrast ratio with reduced viewing angle vs IPS. VA might face black smearing issue vs glow issue on IPS panels.
