Buy the cheapest 2023-24 model?

www.amazon.in/LG-inches-Ultra-Smart-55UR7500PSC/dp/B0C83J8YF8
This will suffice, is under 40k with CC discount.

Annoying thing about most TVs IMO is the remote (lack of play/pause button) and the OS (more like weak hardware leading to lags at time).

I couldn't find a way to completely stop OS update prompt. OS update did make my LG C3 lag at times. I'm avoiding recent updates for now. Android stick options are limited, sadly Chromecast 4K is no longer available but its remote is not good as well. Nvidia Shield is expensive, old & have to import :p
I use STB and avoid the LG OS.

Why even consider such a small brand? If you want to experiment, your call.

Xiaomi/Redmi, Hisense 55" TVs sell for 30-32k during sales (can consider Toshiba & Acer as well if you want), any day those are better choices than small unknown brands if you don't want to spend 40k on LG/Samsung 55". Nothing else to add honestly.

Festival sale... price will drop or only for CC holders?
I don't have CC... That's why I miss most deals

LG/Samsung has extended warranty that are expensive as per price, more than 14% of the product per year. Other brands more than 4% of product per year

Unfortunately yes, most of the discounts are on CCs. And the big festival discounts are quite far. You need to decide if you want to wait for Independence Day/Aadi month sale or get the TV now without extending warranty.
Edit: As per following post, nearest sale in May!

LG/SAMSUNG/Xiaomi

No one mentioned intentionally... What panel do they use—TN, VA, or IPS?

How do I find out?

TN is non existent in TVs

Mostly IPS these days, Samsung might be VA. IMO both are fine for TVs at this price. VA has better contrast ratio with reduced viewing angle vs IPS. VA might face black smearing issue vs glow issue on IPS panels.

You can ask these things from the showroom executive. But generally speaking, if you are able to see the picture on the TV from an angle without much loss of the quality on the screen then its IPS, if the color or content fades from the angle, its VA panel. JUst check some youtube videos, you will understand what I tried to say.

As mentioned, most panels are IPS these days, even on Chinese TVs. Samsung might be only big company with VA panel these days.

Check the listing of Redmi TV on amazon, it markets wide viewing angle, so IPS panel. Can just check Q&A section on amazon or FK to see what people say.

My doubt:

Went to a few TV showrooms... One sales executive told… If you increase the volume more than 70%… TV will arise various problems.

To avoid using a speaker or soundbar.

Anyone clarify!!!

You overpaid for a Xiaomi TV at 38k, should have bought LG/Samsung at 40-42k. 55" Chinese 4K TVs are not worth 35k+ considering the inferior software post processing. At 40k, you get 120Hz or FALD on Chinese TVs.

Speakers might not sound clear at very high volumes, see how it is.

Why will anyone ask to avoid using an ext speaker or soundbar? Salesman might be just lying as usual.
