Please help me out guys..there are so much in store nowadays that I'm getting really confused...I need to buy a new laptop for a budget of 35k (+2k max).

I'm kinda noob on this...I have chosen the Dell Inspiron 15 (S541217IN8)

change is constant!!
better go for core i5 for good performance,if not atleast increase RAM speed to 1333 mhz,

if harddisk RPM is 7200 it would be still better,rest is fine..:)

Well as per the acer stuff..I heard that the quality is little bulky?? My budget doesn't allow to opt for i5 processor ...what about the SONY VAIO VPC-EB14EN ? is this one better than the Dell Inspiron 15 New Laptop (S541217IN8) Budget upto 40k

From the 3 laptops, the Dell one is no for me. Dell does not have a very good battery backup. The config for the Acer one and the Sony is almost same, except the Ram is 3 GB for Sony. If you want stylish look, then Sony is better suited for you. But Acer is having 4 GB ram, 4 USB(compared to 3 for the Sony). This Acer model is also having better battery life. As per the weight, this model is not bulkier. It is around 6 lb, i.e. around 2.8kg, average for a 15.6" laptop.
SO acer one is also a good buy if you like the performance of it.
