Need help to assemble a Graphic Design PC.

Muntakem Haque

Right off the assembly line
I'm a student of Multimedia and Animation. I plan to build a workstation.

1. What is the purpose of the computer?

Ans: My work mostly comprises of 3D Rendering and Modelling in 3D Studio Max 2013 and Maya 2013. The other software I use are : Adobe After Effects CS5, Adobe Premier Pro CS5, Combustion 2008, Adobe Audition, Adobe Dreamweaver CS5, Adobe Photoshop CS5, Adobe Illustrator CS5, Adobe Flash CS5 and Corel Draw X5.
I do not intend to take up very highly (ultra high-level, i mean) complex 3D modelling at this moment.

Almost no gaming on this machine and if any then it will be only Need For Speed (Most Wanted, Carbon and the newer ones).

2. What is the overall budget?

Ans: around 40,000 to 50,000 INR

3. Planning to overclock?

Ans: I don't think so. I don't think that my job will require over-clocking.

4. Which Operating System am I planning to use?

Ans: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and Ubuntu Studio.

5. Which components I DON'T want to buy or which components I already have and plan on reusing?

Ans: an AOC 23 inch monitor, a 1 TB external HDD, Windows 7 Ultimate and Ubuntu Studio and an iBall Graphic Tablet.

6. When am I planning to buy the system?

Ans: In a month

7. Have I ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?

Ans: I've never built a desktop before, this will be done by an assembler.

8. Where do I live? Are I buying locally? Am I open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?

Ans: Kolkata (India).
I'm buying mostly locally.
Yes I'm open to purchasing online.

I've read many forums and Intel i7 3770K appears to be everyone's choice. But i can't think up of a configuration using i7 3770K below 50K INR.
Will server components like Intel Xeon come within my budget and also meet my needs ?
About the Graphics card : If my budget doesn't allow (or my work doesn't need ) a professional graphic card (like Quadro or FirePro), I'm very much open to ideas of soft-modding it.

Thank you.
