Any particular reasons why you dislike Dell? Their Vostro and Latitude lineups are really good and will suit your requirements. They are not thin but they make up their thickness with good build quality.

Don't forget the accident cover under standard warranty, Dell still has that right? I know mine did when I got it.

I had Dell Inspiron its hinges broke frequently and later it developed screen issue. Dell customer care didn't respond well after warranty and engineer couldn't even fix issue.

While this is isolated incident but personal bias has developed.

Anyways which Dell machine would you recommend?
