need help buying unlocked used mobile!!

Hello everyone,

i want to buy LG Optimus 3d. i liked it a lot.
but as my budget is 15-16k which is too less, m thinking of buying used one, LG thrill. its a US version of it comes with AT&T branding and without warranty and bill. seller seems to be individual.
is it safe to buy used unlocked mobile without bill.

has anyone done a purchase like this, please share your experience.

Or should i stretch my budget to whopping 25k and buy new with warranty.

Don't get a used product without seeing/using it.
If you can extend your budget then you can get HTC Sensation for 22-23k which is an amazing phone, you can also buy it from ebay for <21k with the help of 10% coupon

I have seen the product today. its in good condition but i guess not excellent as i got to check it at night in streetlight.
its unlocked and officially updated to gingerbread.
the piece was without a scratchguard and case and the seller says its 1.5 month old. i wanted to check the hdmi conn. as i'll be using it a lot but as he doesnt have lcd i cudnt.
he is giving me like 2 days after purchase to test out everything in the device and if some issue comes up, money will be refunded he says.

And yeah seller is giving an undertaking on a paper mentioning the phone's imei stating that the phone has been acquired by legal means to assure me a genuine purchase

i want this phone only but want to make sure everything is fine. if at all anything happens there wont be any warranty . he's selling for 17k and the new one m getting with Lg warranty for 23.8k in market.
now i am confused. is 7k difference from d market price justified for a used buy. i cant stretch my already stretched budget
