Hi everyone, I'm a new member here and in need of buying advice for a desktop that will run World of Warcraft (WoW) Cataclysm and WoW Mists of Pandaria at high settings.

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: World of Warcraft : Cataclysm (WoW), WoW: Mists of Pandaria, Office 2010 and Photoshop CS4. No other games or software at all.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: INR 30,000 /- .. can extend upto 35,000

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: No

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Win 7 Ultimate (x64). I already own it, please don't include cost.

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 500 GB

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: 22" 1080p preferred

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans:Mouse, Keyboard, Webcam, Headphones, Speakers and UPS

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: First week of April 2013

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: No. I will use an assembler.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: New Delhi, I prefer to buy locally from Nehru Place. Not willing to order online.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: I just want a pc that will run WoW at high settings and decent framerates. I would prefer an Intel CPU if possible. Thank you all in advance and looking forward to your replies.

i3 3220 (7000)
Gigabyte B75M DH3 (4000)
G.Skill ripjawsx OR sniper (whichever comes cheaper) 1600 MHz 4 GB (1700) current price is 1700 for both, but ripjarsx's price is fluctuating as seen on mdcomputers.in
MSI HD7770 (8000)
WD blue / seagate barracuda 500 GB (3000)
Corsair CX430v2 (2600)
Dell st2220L FHD 22" LED monitor (8400)
NZXT Gamma (2500)

total: 37200

Dont go below this config, this is the minimum required for good gaming IMO. and don't go for iball / zebronics cabinet just because of extra 2k, cheap cabinets have very poor ventilation and circulation and buying them means headache.

Thank you so much. I will keep the following list and check local prices.

Broken In
I wasn't able to find FX 6300.

WoW and PS are both CPU intensive and multi-thread pretty well.

AMD FX 6100 - 7.3K
Asus M5A97 - 6.7k or Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3 - 5.8K. (You might be able to get a cheaper mobo if you look a little harder.)

and the rest from the above rig. I guess that is breaking your budget.

Performance wise the I3 3rd gen is far better than the FX 6100... FX 6100 also has some Issues ....So better avoid it.
Another Vote for Harshil's Config...

Thank you all for your replies. I could find everything in harshil's config in nehru place at a total cost of 32,000 except Nzxt gamma :) maybe i will get an i5 , its only an extra 4k. Darkshadow was right, cooler masters everywhere in nehru place.
Anyway, Im going to try another market for the cab, probably bhikaji cama. Thank you again guys, Im quite clueless when it comes to pc hardware.
