Need advice buying ram

I have a starlite gold 4gb ddr3 1333 ram..amd athlon x2 260 3.2ghz processor..gigabyte ga-ma78lmt-s2p mobo... i want to buy a 4gb ddr3 1333 ram within rs. 1200...and sell the starlite ram..its just 5 months old..my purpose is mainly gaming..so which ram should i go for?

^^ That's why thetechfreak suggested it. gigabyte ga-ma78lmt-s2p supports 1600 MHz Ram.

Howevr, my suggestion is G-skill RipjawX 1600 MHz 4GB module @ 1.55K. This one is slightly better than Vengeance and can run on much tighter latency setting. (Less the latency, better the performance and AMD processors are much responsive to lower latency than higher speed.)

my shopkeeper told that it does nt support 1600mhz ram... pls give a link for that..

There is no such link...

Listen carefully: By default all the AM3 motherboards support 1333 MHz Speed. So if you plug a Ram with higher frequency then it will be down-clocked to 1333 MHz. So you need to go to the BIOS first and under the section where the advanced settings like CPU Multiplier, Memory settings (probably MB Tweak) etc, you'll find an option called Memory Multiplier. Set it 4 and save the BIOS. Now your Ram will run at 1600 MHz processor.
