need advice - buying DVD player with HDMI

Is it better to go for DVD player with HDMI out rather than ones with only AV. I notice the prize diff is around 1 - 1.5 k
My TV has HDMI in port.

How to interpret the specs like e.g. philips DVP3886X specs say Video Upscaling(720p, 1080i/p), High Def (720p, 1080i, 1080p).

it is good if you have an hdmi support which will allow you to connect it with a computer 720 or 1080 pixels are the resolution supported by the player it is a HD video

Why don't you go for a blu ray player instead? They are cheapo nowadays, and you can also buy them at a discount from ebay. They do have HDMI as well!
