Need A UPS

Hi,
I need a UPS..that will be OFF when the system is shut down(automatically)
Please suggest one

I dont think such UPS is available. How would a UPS know that system is shut down. It outputs power but does not input any information from MB. Tell me if I am wrong...

hey the dude the thing wich u mentioned isnt available, so u can jst go in for a UPS, n abt wich one,, i ges its already suggested by our fellow frnd in the above post.

Yups as almost evryone suggested u APC...eva i will go wid it...but APC is a bit expensive...so in case if its not in ur budget...u can eva go for Numeric..eva they r damn good and at the same time not very expensive.

I got the 650VA model ..gives 25min backup on 15" monitor its the best, comes with data cable n software..shuts down the pc when u are not on desk.

APC is the best!! Good quality, good support!

500va models is just Rs.1850 now

apc is the best.....i get 20-25 mins back on 17' monitor persormance is pretty good....it even keeps a ckech on spikes.....
