Need a smartphone upto Rs 25K

Hi

I want to buy a Android smartphone budget upto 25K
Screen size >4.3 inches <5 inches
Usage is normal phone calls texts and surfing , maybe some movies, very less gaming
Currently using Moto Defy which is sort of aging (2 years 2 months)

The phones under consideration were
Sony Xperia SP , C
Samsung S4 mini, S3

When I went and physically looked at all these models Sony Xperia ZR (but this adds almost 5k to the budget) grabbed my attention more. I may rethink on the ZR

Could anyone suggest suitable options

Now own a Moto Defy on MIUI but having lot of problems since last few days

If your budget is 25K, then LG Nexus 4 would be a great choice. It has great specs and is made by Google, so you would be getting all the Android first! And it has a sexy design too!
Or else if you could extend your budget to 30K and wait for a few weeks, you could buy a LG Nexus 5 which is the successor of Nexus 4. Performance is mind-blowing and design is great! too It is the first phone to have Android Kitkat! The only downside is that Camera is little disappointing ( but that's just a software bug, you will soon receive an update to fix that! )
I would probably say you to buy the Nexus 5. But it's your choice.

Your Budget : 25k unless phone's really worth, then extendable to 30k.
Your choices : Sony Xperia SP , Xperia C, Samsung S4 mini, S3.

Xperia C has mostly received negative reviews as its highly overpriced for a mediatek device.
S4 mini is average at best, but at some point, you will detect a bit of lag during multitasking & imo, s3, is very old now..
Xperia SP is a decent choice. But since, you have a 25k budget, i'd say :

1. Nexus 4 - handles multitasking better than SP..but has an OK camera. Receives fastest updates.
2. Nexus 5 - the latest one from lg..will release any day now..preorders have started..has probably the most VFM specs in sub 30k phone, but again, a OK camera. good enough for the casual clicker.
3. Xperia Z or ZR.

Get Xperia Z, if u can find it below 30k,otherwise ZL is good too..... Nexus 5 has even better performance + fast updates, battery life is similar but 16gb storage only, user accessible should be approx 12.5gb. If u can live with it, then its the best phone.

Another option is Xperia ZR, which has better battery life than others but has 720p screen but it's waterproof. Also it's more compact than others.
