1) What is your budget? (INR or USD)
30K INR

2) What size & weight consideration (if any) would you prefer?
Thin and Light; 12" - 14" screen
Should be as light-weight as possible and easy to carry. I can sacrifice Optical Disc Drive.

3) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
a. Like: HP, Sony, Toshiba
b. Dislike:
Open to all brands.

4) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook?
Web Browsing, Forex Trading and a few videos. Strictly No Gaming.
Having a Windows 7 Professional License. So, OS doesn't matter.
Prefer a 4GB of RAM and a Intel Core-i series processor.

5) What screen resolution(s) & type (glossy/matte) would you prefer?
Type and Resolution doesn't matter as far as the viewing angle is good.

6) Anything else you would like to say? (eg: local purchase, ASS,matte/glossy finish)
Will be buying from the local stores or from online stores if COD is available to replace my ageing HP Notebook.

Should not overheat. (Having a hard time with the HP Notebook, I am replacing, due to overheating and the battery backup)
Must have a battery backup of around 6 hours.
Must have WiFi connectivity. (Bluetooth and HDMI are optional)

Thought of buying HP Pavilion Sleekbook 14-b012au(C7D88PA). But, 2GB RAM, Intel PDC and overheating issues are deal-breakers for me. Any alternative suggestions are welcomed.

Del inspiron 3520 or 3521. Both will serve all your purpose but not sure about battery backup of 6hrs.

But, I want something portable and the screen size must be between 13" and 14".

thats an oversized netbook.

go for any of these: Samsung NP300E4V-A01IN & Lenovo Essential B490. you'll have to manually upgrade ram to 4-6GB.

or check this one: HP 4445S ProBook. other than viewing angles (because of reflective display) it is perfectly in line with your requirements.

I like the lenovo one as far as specs is concerned. Will post about my decision after reading reviews.

@sam: HP Probook 4445S seems to be the most practical one. Will be getting one with 4GB of RAM. Thanks for your help.
