now a days laptops are giving performance but poor display quality, i need a laptop which have balance good display and great performance and decent sleek design (not like ultra books slim but not too much bulky)

need a laptop under 60 K requirements great display(panel) quality and adequate performance

1) What is your budget? (INR)
preferbly upto 50k but go upto 60K maximum

2) What size & weight consideration (if any) would you prefer?

mainstream; 15" - 16" screen




3) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?

4) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook?
Multimedia viewing hd videos and java IDE programming and running servers like oracle and weblogic just for programming purpose

5) What screen resolution(s) & type (glossy/matte) would you prefer?
need to work a lot on computer but mostly indoors,need pleasant screen though

Check out Dell Insiron 15R turbo with Full HD Screen. Its no longer listed on the website but was available 2 weeks ago and should probably still be available in some stores. I remember that it started around 55k.

It has 1600x900 pixels screen resolution.

If u can increase ur budget by 2-3k, then Lenovo Ideapad Y500. It has FullHD display(1920x1080)

Well up to that you have two options i.e. samsung so5in and lenovo y500. Y500 has fhd screen while so5in has 900p screen.

Samsung has anti glare display but lower resolution.
Whereas Y500 has higher resolution but no anti glare though

But pictures look better in Y500 than in Samsung (compared with S03IN)

well for lenevo Y500 its 67K out of range, (its strictly 60K range)
for samsung 550PCSO3in my local dealer told me so3 is old and now so5 is there is so5 better then so3
and what about the brightness its 300n only,

my first preference is good display panel quality and good processing speed & decent audio quality
