    NASA World Wind

World Wind lets you zoom from satellite altitude into any place on Earth.

Leveraging Landsat satellite imagery and Shuttle Radar Topography Mission

data, World Wind lets you experience Earth terrain in visually rich 3D,

The best about Nasa World wind is that they give out the detailed map as packages.Digit give them on their DVD. The installers come more than 800 MB in size. After install it take a huge harddisk space. But useful for Dial-up users.
Google Earth is useful only for broadband users.

This version is dead slow on my PC... I am thinking of turning to the older version...

They are making it too complicated... Google earth is better... But WorldWind could have been the best...
