My Rig... Maximus-WC.

Hi guys,

This is my Rig. I built the rig way back in '09. Most of the components are over 3 years old, except RAM, SSD and GPU. The mobo would've been also if not for a lightning strike on local phone junction taking out the mobo along with the router supplied by BSNL, back in '10. So I replaced the original Gigabyte X58-UD5 with X58A-UD5. I installed the WC loop last Saturday.
With Ambient temp around 30-33C, Max GPU temp during Heaven benchmark was 46C. My 680 is OC'd to 1200/3500MHz.
My i7-920 (OC'd to 3.8GHz) idles around 44-45C while max temp during a Prime95 blend test was 69C.

Totally awesome. Your rig is fantastic too. If you had bought back in 2009, then it must have been an expensive system. I also want to do WC. May I know from where you got the components?

BMG ftw!!
You should have gone with 2x 240mm rad rather than using a 360mm rad.
Nice setup though.

And you need cable management..

Thanks. I ordered most of the parts from frozencpu.com and performance-pcs.com. I ordered them through shopabroadonline.com since the shipping charges was way too much for FedEx and UPS.

Goog going :)
Don't sell off the components. They are still very powerful :D

Haha. Yes they are. Actually, I was surprised that my C0 920 still OC's to 4GHz stable after all these years.

But wouldn't it be a bit of overkill for CPU-GPU loop? It's not like I'm adding cooling for SLI and RAM/Chipset coolers soon. Maybe, in some future build, if I add more blocks then I could just add a 140mm rad or 240mm.
The cable management needs more work. It's a PITA arranging cables in HAF 932, especially without those covering in the CM openings and a cover in the PSU area. Guess it'll be a weekend project for me. :)

BMG ftw!!
If you plan to SLI anytime in future, 1x 260mm may not be enough. That's why I've suggested 2x 240mm.

I think you meant 360mm? Yes, as I've said in earlier post, in that scenario, I have to mount additional 240mm on the side panel. So it would be Res>Pump>360mm>CPU>240mm>GPUx2>Res.
