My hard disc is not detected

Broken In
i bought a new Segate 160 GB sata HDD, but my bios is not detecting the drive,
the disc is visible while i start windows using my other drive

pls help

first check out in bios...if its getting detected by windows OS it should be detected in bios...ur mistaken somewhere...also check out attaching the HDD on diff comp so that u can come to atleast some conclusion ;)

if its the problem with wires or power or sata cable, it wont be visible in windows, but its visible and operational in windows

If its visble and operational in windows then whats ur problem....forget BIOS detection :eek:
